Still Waiting
Sorry I'm not blogging much as of late. The move has not been as smooth as we would have liked. The house we had originally contracted to rent ended up not being for rent (despite the fact that we had signed a contract, sigh). So we had to go back to the drawing board, except with both of us working, we ended up using all of our evening and weekend time to house hunt. Tim also went on a quick spur-of-the-moment trip to Austin last week to visit the step-kiddos since we figured this was a good time to go since he hadn't started work yet. Of course, then A got sick. Really, really sick. I ended up having to take him to the doctor even though my health insurance hasn't kicked in yet (I didn't realize you had a 30 day wait after starting a new job, the things you learn when you separate from the military!). It was about $150 for the visit + the drugs, but it was so worth it because he was really starting to scare me (he had a sinus infection, so it was a good thing I decided to take him). Anyway, we may have another house lined up, but I'm not going to say anything this time until we're actually in the house because I don't want to jinx anything! Hopefully I'll have some good news soon.

I hope the news comes quickly so I can come out of my room.
I'm sorry A got sick :(
It seems like Chris gets sick every time Greg leaves...
I know you have lots of free time to sit around and make phone calls ;)
but you should call Tri-Care. A should still have coverage. They give 180 or 190 days of coverage from the date of your separation.
When Greg was deciding if he'd get out, we tried to figure out all of the timing too, to figure out when he would lose his military coverage and when mine would take over...
then he decided to stay in.....
I hope you get a house so when I come to new mexico in 11 months I can visit! :)
Oh dear, it's so disappointing when you think everything is settled... and then it's not. I hope things are soon sorted out.
garg. That is frustrating. Glad to hear there is a little silver lining to the clouds going on though.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that everything works out soon!
