Asked whether he thinks the Bills will make it to the postseason in 2008, Whitner says, “Do I expect us to make the playoffs? I’m guaranteeing it.”
Guarantees don’t mean as much as they used to in sports (think Joe Namath). Lately, guarantees often turn out to be a kiss of death. But Whitner’s words suggest a level of confidence that hasn’t been displayed by Buffalo’s pro football team in a long time, and we like it.

Is that guy driving the SUV Cedric Benson? Even though Kevin Faulk is apparently getting high on a regular basis, the Bills in the playoffs??
In looking at their schedule, even if they don't beat the Patriots ever, which they probably won't, they'll also lose to Jacksonville (a September game), San Diego (too bad it's an October game), Cleveland away on Monday night and probably split with the Jets. The rest are very winnable. That gives them a good shot at 10-6. If they take care of business against the rest of the pansy schedule they have, they could get in!!
